It has FINALLY been announced that in 2009 LeakyCon is invading Boston! Needless to say, I'm beyond excited, and maybe I'll even finally get a chance to go! So in honor of said wonderful news, some icons in anticipation of the event :)
                 

I really love the work JKR did illustrating The Tales of Beedle the Bard (Oh I would die to get my hands on one of those....but anyway...) I thought I'd goof around with some of her pictures so here ya go...


Now, as much as I can't fathom thinking about Christmas yet, because we're just getting over the Halloween sugar rush, it's not even Thanksgiving, and it's still beastly hot outside, I have, on occasion, been thinking about the last month of the year. So by request I'm putting up some holiday icons I made last year and at some point there might be more if I'm not feeling too Grinchy.....
         



And just to add to the randomness....

Why is it there's always an excuse for not updating? This time it's school. Real, but an excuse nevertheless. I mean gees, don't my teachers understand I'd rather be goofing off with photoshop? :) In any case, another update of mostly chapter art (I need new ideas!!).
             

Ok, I finally don't feel guilty about putting up spoilers from Deathly Hallows! So without further ado, the first of many moments that stuck out from a great book!                and just because I was amused, I saw this last idea on a t-shirt the other day and just had to erm, borrow, it....  

With the release of DH so near, the excitement is growing by the day. But with all the buzz, there's one thing, (seriously, they suck. 'Nuff said.)  Second thing, I'm dying to find out but I'm wondering if we'll get a straight answer to,    

I believe sometime between my last post and today I got lost, took a wrong turn and then real life got in the way! But I think I've found my way back with some semblance of an update (I hope).
                    

Earlier this week there was a news article that TIME magazine released some spoofed Harry Potter covers. I was amused by it. You can see the original cover here, the first two icons are taken from that.

               

With all the trailers, new posters, and movie shots, you'd think I'd be updating more. Slacker :)  And yes, I imagine the first one of Ron has been done, or some variation of it, but it's classic. I had to.
                 

For some reason it hasn't occurred to me much to use book art, I've always stuck mostly to screen caps. But I think Mary GrandPre is genius and I love the chapter art in the US additions. So, here we go....                 

I came across this screen shot the other day on Leaky and got a good laugh thinking about potential captions...this is some of what resulted.              

Photoshop is a great cure for insomnia. Really. I couldn't decide which versions of these I liked better so I'll just post them all. Why not?
             

So I've definitely been finding my slytherin side lately and thought I'd post a few icons that resulted. This just helps me procrastinate way too much.                 

A really random update here (go figure!) but I thought I'd try something different with some of the icons. Still not sure what i think, they might grow on me :)

The other night I decided it would be fun to take various warning labels or signs and apply them to some Harry Potter pictures....Here's part of the result. Comments are always nice, and let me know if you beg, borrow, or steal any :)
                              

A rather small update today(Gotta love it when it looks bigger than it really is!). Most of these are requests or suggestions so I appreciate the ideas.

                    

I swear it should be Monday, but it's a good day to update things none the less! This is a fairly random mix of a couple new ones and some older stuff as well! I should really post a collection of Snape icons...hmm another day I think :)

                      

I had to come up with some sort of theme for my first icons to post, so hey, why not Valentine's day? Better late than never!

Last night I had the brilliant idea to start posting my icons, random photoshop musings, etc, on a live journal. I have discovered you must be smarter than the website...and maybe a bit of sleep helps too. So, when I finally win my technologically challenged fight, I'll start posting.
